Spotify says the new “add to queue” feature is one of the most requested for Car Thing; you can do this by voice (using the “hey Spotify” message), by tapping or dialing the device. You can also ask Car Thing to create a custom playlist by telling you what genre or type of music you’re interested in listening to.
Designed as a more convenient way to control Spotify while driving, the Car Thing device uses Bluetooth to connect to your phone, and you can connect a cable to connect to your car or have your phone connect to your car via Bluetooth. . It lacks a rechargeable battery, so it must remain plugged into your car’s USB socket.
Spotify says the features will roll out automatically for iOS users, with Android availability rolling out “at a later date.”
