Prince Andrew’s ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, has spoken out for Afghan girls as she met refugees in Albania.
On her Instagram account, Sarah shared photos with the Afghan refugees, including the chief judge, other leading women in their respective fields, the women’s national cycling team, doctors, long-serving military, mothers, fathers and children, some of the who had been separated from their parents.
In the first image, the mother of Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenia can be seen holding up a banner with the slogan “To the world! Afghan girls matter! They have the right to study!”
In the post’s caption, Sarah says: “The refugee camp was located at the Kolivari resort in Golem and I was greeted by an Afghan poet, Mohammad Zaria, with a specially written poem about peace.”
