Mumbai, April 30: Continuing his activism for the cause in the countryside, Mumbai Indian patron Rohit Sharma once again entered the countryside wearing a specially designed shoe, highlighting his cause to ‘End Plastic Waste’ and ‘Save Life Marine’.
In the match against Rajasthan Royals, the birthday boy Rohit walked the field in his specially designed shoes depicting a turtle swimming in the pristine blue waters of the ocean, with the message “End Plastic Waste” written on it. This is the third time that Rohit supports the cause in the current 15th edition of the IPL.
Earlier, on his Instagram, Rohit had shared photos of the shoe with the message.
“The ocean is my happy place. It’s a world like no other and it needs to be protected. One of the biggest threats to the health of our oceans is plastic! It’s polluting our oceans and it’s not just our marine life that’s paying.” the price. Our well-being depends GREATLY on our oceans. Without oceans, there is no human life. The smallest and most effective step you can take: don’t litter in the ocean and prevent those around you from doing so.” She then committed to partnering with adidas to clean up the oceans. Rohit wrote: “Together with @adidasIndia, we are here to take charge of creating a sustainable planet. For every run you score in this year’s IPL, @adidasIndia will collect 10 plastic bottles from the beaches of Mumbai.” Rohit has dedicated himself to this cause on and off the field and has also been seen promoting environmental causes at previous IPL editions.
