Academy-winning star Will Smith has come under fire for slapping comedian Chris Rock onstage at the 2022 Oscars.
Following Netflix and Sony, Paramount Pictures has also pulled its stake in actor King Richard’s upcoming movie Bounce.
Additionally, digital sensation JoJo Siwa has also walked away from starring in a Smith-backed movie after their 2022 Oscars fight.
However, multiple sources have told Variety that Siwa left the project ‘months ago’ and that her decision is in no way related to the Smith incident at the Oscars.
At the recently held GLAAD Media Awards, Siwa talked about the same thing. “That project was put on hold and then it disappeared. It wasn’t the one,” reported Variety.
Smith’s film adaptation of Bounce was first announced in 2020. The feature film, based on Megan Shull’s YA book, was brought into the studio by Cobra Kai producer Caleb Pinkett.
