Meghan Markle earned many not-so-favorable nicknames from Palace staff during her brief time at Kensington Palace, with a royal author revealing that staff even called her ‘Me-Gain’.
According daily star, The shocking nicknames emerged after Meghan gained a negative reputation among Palace staff due to her behavior within weeks of her arrival; she has been accused of being ‘rude’ to royal servants.
Royal biographer Tom Quinn revealed several of these nicknames in his book. Kensington Palace: An Intimate Memoir from Queen Mary to Meghan Marklewith sources located directly at Kensington Palace confirming this.
A servant told Quinn that because Meghan was American, she was probably not used to ‘dealing with servants’.
The source shared: “Like many people who aren’t used to dealing with servants, Meghan overdoes her arrogance. She so she, on the one hand, she wants to be like Diana, the people’s princess, and on the other hand, she wants people to snap when she snaps her fingers.”
Quinn later wrote: “This did not break the ice with the staff who, according to reliable reports, began using rather unflattering nicknames for her within weeks of her arrival: ‘Me-Gain’, ‘Duchess of Difficult’ and even ‘ Say 2’. or ‘Say Lite’”.
Di 2 and Di Lite were supposed to be twists on Princess Diana’s fights in royal palaces.
Quinn further shared: “Meanwhile, the royal courtiers in Kensington – the same ex-army, British, public school, tweedy aristocrats they’ve always been – just didn’t know what to do with Meghan.”
