Johnny Depp’s bodyguard finally takes the stand and offers his testimony about the ongoing abuse “behind closed doors.”
The bodyguard, Malcolm Connolly, 58, made the revelations on Thursday, April 28, while taking the stand.
He even accused Amber Heard of “changing” her behavior towards Johnny Depp, shortly after their relationship became serious.
He even went so far as to claim, “As time went on, you know, I could see them change. I could see Amber change. I could see Johnny getting quieter and quieter.”
Recounting a few instances where he would overhear occasional arguments between the couple, Mr Connolly revealed: “I could sometimes hear in certain accommodations without this.”
“I could hear Amber screaming. She could hear screaming and crying and she could hear what was going on.”
She also emphasized Amber Heard’s identity as the aggressor in those situations, adding, “Mostly, I could hear Amber screaming.”
When asked about the physical altercations, he explained that they ‘never’ happened in his presence: “I never saw slapping, grabbing, punching or hitting,” he admitted.
But he also made it clear that there would often be “scratches on [Johnny Depp’s] neck. Maybe a swollen lip in the corner. Maybe a bruise in the eye socket,” the next morning.
Not only that, “It was becoming more regular. Not every week, but it was definitely happening, yeah.”
