Halyna Hutchin’s husband, Matthew Hutchins, has lashed out at the police department for releasing the harrowing body camera footage from the sets of Oxide.
Images were recently released of actor Alec Baldwin, 46, checking her out, the late cinematographer and paramedics trying to save her after the shooting.
According TMZThe widower’s attorney, Brian Panish, sent an outraged email to Sheriff Adan Mendoza criticizing the department for trampling on his dignity and hindering his privacy.
The email stated that the police had agreed to show Matthew to look at all the images before posting them. However, they did not keep their promise.
“His office trampled on Hutchins’ constitutional rights.” The email read. “We fear, for example, that this shocking video of Andros’s mother’s death could be material used by stalkers to emotionally abuse him in the future.”
“We demand that your office uphold Matthew, Halyna, and Andros Hutchins’ constitutional rights to dignity, privacy, respect, and fairness in the future,” the email continued.
“We also demand that your office remove the video footage of Halyna Hutchins dying on the church floor. While the damage of posting that video is irreparable, removing the video will end her office’s complicity in causing future harm,” she concluded.
