Mumbai, April 27: With comprehensive performances from bowlers and batsmen, Delhi defeated Telangana by 8 wickets on the second day of the 3rd National Women’s T20 Deaf Cricket Championship here on Wednesday.
Asked to bat first, Telangana hit 70/2 in 10 overs with D Kanthamma scoring 40 runs from 26 balls. Sanjeeta and Komal Maurya were the bowlers who took the wicket for Delhi, taking one wicket each.
In response, Delhi batsman Akansha Tiwari, who made 31 non-eliminations, gave the team a good start. However, Delhi lost two wickets in the chase but the third wicket partnership between Tiwary and Sweety Mishra (16 runs) guided the team home to an eight wicket win in 7.3 overs.
