Chris Rock’s brother has finally revealed what really happened behind the scenes after the comedian made a GI Jane joke about Jada Pinkett Smith and was slapped across the face by her husband.
According to the comedian’s brother, Smith and Rock have yet to reconcile after the events of that night.
Despite Diddy’s calls to Page Six that the pair have reconciled, Rock’s brother admitted in a Twitter Q&A on Tuesday that Diddy was in fact wrong about the ‘dirty’ altercation.
According to Well-informed personthe conversation arose after a social media user asked Chris’ brother Tony Rock, “So Diddy was lying when he said Chris and Will made up that night and are okay now?”
Tony’s response was short and to the point, simply ending with the words “Yes.”
This revelation comes just days after Smith offered an apology for his actions, which he called “unacceptable and inexcusable.”
He stated at the time, “Pranks at my expense are part of the job, but a joke about Jada’s medical condition was too much for me and I reacted emotionally.”
“I would like to publicly apologize to you, Chris. I crossed the line and I was wrong,” he concluded after initially excluding Chris from his initial apology on the Oscars stage.
