New Jersey, April 19: Ashleigh Barty, a three-time major tennis champion, will intensify her interests in golf after signing for an exhibition tournament alongside the likes of Harry Kane, Pep Guardiola and Michael Phelps. The event at Liberty National Golf Club in New Jersey on June 30 and July 1 will pit the teams against each other. represent the US and the rest of the world against each other in a 10-hole team play format.
“I’m excited to be a part of the Icon Series and hope that through my participation in the series we can encourage more women and girls to get involved in golf around the world. Nearly a month after announcing his retirement from tennis at the age of 25, it has been confirmed that Barty will be one of the top names involved in the Icon Series.
